D3 Pick Basic Programmer / IT Support Specialist

Job Overview

As a D3 Pick Basic Programmer specializing in IT support, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting software systems developed on the D3 (Pick) platform. You’ll handle the setup and configuration of Windows PCs and Servers, ensuring they run efficiently and securely. Your role will involve assisting end-users, resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth operations within our organization.

Responsibilities

• User Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting software issues, answering queries, and resolving problems promptly.
• System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain existing D3 Pick Basic applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Bug Fixes: Identify and fix software bugs, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes.
• Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, users, and managers to address system-related challenges.
• PC Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and fixing common PC issues, identifying faulty hardware, and resolving software conflicts.

Qualifications

• Experience: Preferred minimum of three years working with D3 Pick Basic programming language.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in D3 Pick Basic development, including writing and debugging code.
• Familiarity Windows PCs and Server environments, some AIX knowledge is helpful.
• Knowledge of Pick-like databases, Multi-Value structures,is advantageous.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Other Helpful Skills

· Microsoft Office Programs Including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Active Directory user setup, Some HTML/CSS or Web page design, Visual Basic programming, willingness to learn new skills.
