Redwood Terrace in Escondido, CA, one of 11 HumanGood life plan communities named among the "Best Nursing Homes of 2021-2022" by US News & World Report, is hiring a full-time Director of Hospitality.
The Director of Resident Engagement / Activities (internally known as Director of Hospitality or DOH) is responsible for the overall management of the department, providing quality care and services to all residents. S/he directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates team members and services; ensures resident care interventions meet the personal, physical, and cognitive needs of each resident, as well as maximizes their care capacities, identity, independence, choice and opportunity for social interaction; and monitors the outcomes of resident services activities by evaluating staff performance, ensuring compliance with community and State Regulations, and monitoring the effective and efficient use of budgeted resources. The DOH supervises transportation, beauty shop, pastoral services, resident activities, census taking, and move-in arrangements.
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 Depending on Experience
To be successful in the role, you would have:
Bachelor's degree in social work, business, or related field.
3-5 years of prior related experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
3-5 years of prior supervision/leadership of a department
Activity Director certification preferred
