For over 20 years, Redwood Pediatric Therapy has been recognized as a leader in delivering high quality pediatric services in beautiful Sonoma County. We have a growing multidisciplinary, diverse team of occupational and physical therapists, who share a passion for seeing every child reach their full potential through compassionate, evidence-based practices. We offer four large sunlit therapeutic gyms, with high ceilings, floor area padded by mats, and multi-colored soft climbing equipment, the child is immediately enticed to explore and play. Santa Rosa offers easy commutes. We are surrounded by rolling hill vineyards, with a short drive to the coast or redwoods, and an hour drive into San Francisco. In addition to our clinic, we serve students throughout Sonoma County schools. We place a premium on holistic support/development for both our clients and staff.
Requirements:
Applicants must be hold or have applied for licensure in California.
Pediatric experience is preferred, including treatment techniques, assessment and interpretation of standardized tests.
Infant experience and specialty training in pediatric areas is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with parents, staff, and multi-disciplinary experience
Flexibility in scheduling around school and clinic appointments.
Enthusiasm and willingness to continue professional growth is required.
Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.
Required Education:
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program with an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Duties of the physical therapist include but are not limited to providing assessment, treatment, and documentation for a diverse population in schools and clinic. We provide paid mentorship and training, so you feel confident working in our clinic and schools.
Professional Growth opportunities:
Our therapists are encouraged to continue to advance their skills in pediatrics. RPTA will provide a stipend towards professional conferences for each employee. In addition, we provide ongoing in-services by our experienced staff which includes Feldenkrais and DMI trained physical therapists with over 20 years experience in pediatrics. Teamwork and mentorship, including for interns, is an integral part of the RPTA work life.
Specialized Opportunities:
Therapists seeking certification in the DMI approach are provided training and financial support (through continuing education stipend) to achieve their goals
