Senior Enterprise Integration Engineer
Reports To: Director of Integrations, IT
Location: Chicago, IL (must live in Chicago area; onsite presence required)
Environment: Hybrid
Status: Exempt; Salaried
Work Schedule:
This position is full-time and hybrid Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Purpose of Your Work:
As a Senior Enterprise Integration Engineer working within Redwood Logistics ,you will be responsible for developing solutions across the Redwood application stack, with a special focus on onboarding carriers, customers, and system integrations. You will analyze data, develop setup, troubleshoot issues, test and ensure data is transmitted appropriately. In this role, you must be comfortable taking lead with various team members and different initiatives. Additionally, you must establish clear communication among internal teams as well as customers. Excellent problem solving and communication skills combined with a knack for mastering new technologies will be key factors to any candidate's success.
How You Make a Difference Everyday:
  • Build integration solutions using Microsoft Azure Integration Services
  • Develop highly performing and scalable integrations using technologies such as C# .NET; With a focus on microservice driven architecture covering all aspects of SDLC
  • Apply integration practices such as message routing, filtering, data enrichment (transformation/translation), batch processing, encoding, correlation, error handling, and reconciliation mechanisms to deliver the required business functionality
  • Work with Architects, Lead Developers, and Business Analysts to deliver Integration solutions.
  • Implement new trading partners (customers & carriers) and migrate existing partners and their EDI transactions from the legacy systems/versions to new processes built using RedwoodConnect, Redwood's proprietary integration platform as a service (iPaaS)
  • Collaborate on assigned special projects, including migrating from different integration applications, upgrading process versions, and ensuring seamless transitions and successful implementation
  • Create project-related documents such as technical specifications, process flow diagrams, and update stakeholders
  • Demonstrate the ability to execute projects independently and within a team setting to foster synergy and successful outcomes
  • Perform, assist and/or support other duties as assigned
You've Got This?
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • Six or more years of work experience in software development or building system integrations using C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, Node, React, Typescript
  • Four or more years of experience in using relational & non-relational databases such as Azure SQL, and Cosmos
  • Experience in developing code for different integrations such as real-time, file-based, async, extract transform and load(ETL) and APIs
  • Ability to develop multiple integrations from a reusable microservices driven architecture
  • Hands-on experience using Microsoft Azure with three or more of the technologies - Azure Functions, API Management, Data Factory, Event Grid, Logic Apps, Service Bus
  • Experience with data standards and communication protocols; XML/XSLT/XSD, JSON, Flat File, Positional, Delimited, EDI, OAuth, HTTP/SOAP/REST, JMS, AMQP, FTP, sFTP, AS2
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous exposure to Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus
