Summary
Redwire - Longmont, CO, has an opportunity for a Electronics Engineering Technician Level 5. This role will be responsible for Electronics build, test and verification in our Longmont, CO facility, as well as participating in laboratory/bench testing and prototyping of active and passive antennas, and microwave circuits. We are building active and passive RF systems for new space-based communications architectures. You will interface with the project, design, and operations teams to assist in the technical development of the Electronics.
Responsibilities
  • Provide input for work instructions and procedures for Electronics testing.
  • Produce documentation, (reports, drawings, (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics)
  • Participate in the design, assembly, and test of RF Electronics hardware.
  • Conduct and develop Test & Evaluation plans for Electrical circuits.
  • Gathering, maintaining, formatting, compiling, and analyzing technical data
  • Capable of surface mount assembly and rework of printed circuit boards down to 0201 size components under microscope
  • Experience performing EOS testing on electronic components and assemblies.
  • Testing and troubleshooting of systems with use of TMDE to include Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and Digital Multi-meters.
  • Build multi-wire cable harnesses to include developing an ICD (Interface Control Document) and verification testing.
  • Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio to develop system block diagrams, BOM generation, flow charts, testing and acceptance criteria documents.
  • Schematic capture and PCB development with Altium Designer
  • Conduct test and evaluation of audio, video, tracking, or other surveillance systems
  • Integrate electric components in support of rapid prototyping requirements.
Ideal Experience
  • Bachelors in related field with a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience. Willing to consider a two-year technical degree/program and 8 to 10 years of applicable experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with RF circuits & systems
  • Experience with all aspects of Electronics testing and test equipment
  • Experience working in an Aerospace cleanroom environment
  • Experience in RF optimization tools e.g., AWR
  • Experience with quality management systems such as AS9100
  • Prior experience and ability to work under a microscope, handling small parts such as fasteners as small as #0-80
  • Experience soldering electrical/electronic components and assemblies. IPC J-STD-001 with Space Addendum certification required
Desired Skills
  • 10 or more years’ of direct relevant technical experience with electronic systems to include analog, digital and RF sub-systems.
  • Ability to provide intuitive and timely solutions for immediate prototype production.
  • Possess strong problem solving and communication abilities.
  • High standard of quality workmanship
  • Experience in antenna test theory and fundamentals
  • Experience with antenna range measurements, data manipulation and visualization
  • Strongly desire experience with antennas, antenna measurements, and RF / microwave circuits
  • Demonstrated experience assisting with writing technical work instructions related to electronics, antenna, and RF testing
  • IPC or NASA Harnessing Certified

Pay Rate
$40.00 - $52.00 per hour

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
