Summary

We have a current opportunity for a Contract - Solder and Assembly Technician for period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension, located at our facility in Littleton, CO. We are looking for someone who is excited about the challenges of operating commercial electronics in the harshness of space.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

Working under a microscope to build electrical assemblies utilizing ECAD drawings, procedures, and specifications in a FOD and ESD controlled environment
Assist design engineers with circuit board rework and assembly for prototyping or for flight per IPC J-STD-001 standards
Maintain the inventory of hardware and electronic components, tracking of hardware status and location, working with Quality Assurance for equipment calibration, and shipping and maintenance of laboratory equipment
Design laboratory management

Ideal Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
4 or more years’ of experience building precision optical / electrical / mechanical assemblies to the highest quality standards
Experience soldering electrical/electronic components and assemblies (previous IPC J-STD-001 certification a plus)
Previous experience working under a microscope with delicate materials

Desired Skills

Comfortable using a computer to retrieve drawings and procedure from our document management system
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational and documentation skills working with electronics.
Experience in procurement of electronic components.
Basic knowledge of circuits and the electronic design process.

Salary Range

$27.00 - $35.00 per hour for non-agency candidates

Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
