MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performsprofessional role functions in accordance with scope of practice andprofessional standards, including demonstrating the knowledge and ability touse and/or lead the scope of practice, professional standards and accreditation/ regulatory standards, scope of practice for LVN and all other nursingpersonnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN demonstrates theability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge oftheory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the abilityto use a population based approach to determine patient needs.
Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation. QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Current CAState licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
2. Current CPR (AHA) certificate required.
3. Current NRP preferred upon hire. Required within 3 months of hire forexperienced RN’s.
4. ACLS (AHA) certification required/preferred upon hire. Required within 3 months of hire forexperienced RN’s.
5. Basic Fetal Monitoring required or Introduction to Fetal Monitoring requiredwithin 1 month of hire for new grad RN’s or RN’s with no Labor & Deliveryexperience.
6. Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required upon hire for experienced RN’s(required within 9 months of for new grad RN’s or RN’s with no Labor &Delivery experience).
7. Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 2 years of employment.
