Position Description

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Project Specialist for the Bioenergy Technology Office (BETO) with the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) at the Department of Energy (DOE). The Project Specialist will perform a variety of support functions to support the operations at the Golden Field Office (GFO).

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the development of strategies, program plans, initiatives, and budgets that provide a comprehensive, integrated, and complimentary suite of bioenergy energy-related activities
  • Help manage, diversify, and strengthen BETO’s portfolio
  • Provide feedback in development and monitoring AOP milestones, deliverables, and budget
  • Review workforce reports, milestones, and deliverables for discussion with federal leadership
  • Review comms materials and work with comms team to ensure timelines
  • Support the planning and execution of conferences, meetings, and webinars by providing scheduling, logistics, technical, and other support as needed
  • Support teams in preparing quarterly review meetings with project performers
  • Provide administrative support and coordination for the International Energy Agency (IEA) Bioenergy activities
  • Coordinate meetings, communications, and deliverables across team members and internal and external program stakeholders
  • Responsible for supporting day-to-day activities and workflow of sub-office teams
  • Provide in-office (GFO) sub-program support every Tuesday with emphasis on A/V support

  • Experience obtaining, verifying, and evaluating general and quantitative information
  • Strong working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook and Teams
  • Working knowledge of computer software utilized in project/program data collection and analysis
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Experience including managing a cross functional team, subtasks, budget, and schedule
  • General knowledge with budget spreadsheets and planning exercises (planning out the budget expenses for the next year/few months)
Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, and Credentials include:
  • B.S. or B.A. in a related discipline and ten (10) years of relevant experience performing work applicable to function and responsibilities described
  • Masters’ degree and eight (8) years of experience
  • Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

$65,000 - $70,000 a year
