ReDefiners World Languages is Hiring a Part Time Spanish Teacher - (Florida In-person) Near Tampa, FL

Purpose of Position: We invite you to consider joining our team of educators who are passionate about multilingualism and character development. As a professional language educator, you will be teaching Spanish language exposure & cultural enrichment classes to groups of elementary-grade children in different afterschool settings. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Review curriculum and prepare dynamic, student-centered, and communicative-focused lessons
    • Facilitate interactive and engaging class sessions in target language (80%)
    • Administer formative and summative assessments
    • Encourage language use outside of class
    • Communicate student progress with parents and teachers
    • Demonstrate effective classroom management skills
    • Commit to regular training and professional development
    • Record and report student progress

Requirements:

  • Native or Highly Proficient Speaker of Spanish
  • Native or Highly Proficient Speaker of English
  • Coursework in language instruction pedagogy, teacher education, or related field
  • Bachelors Degree in Education or Applied Linguistics preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in working with elementary students
  • Reliable transportation
  • Highly organized
  • Able to express and garner enthusiasm about learning to young children
  • Highly energetic
  • Experience in creating educational resources to support student learning
  • Proficient in collaborative technological tools to enhance student success

  • Available during the school year between the hours of 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM 

Location:

This job requires going to different schools and community centers in Hillsborough County.
