Redeemer Renaissance Preschool is seeking a Preschool Teacher for the 2024-25 school year to provide developmentally appropriate programming (Creative Curriculum) for preschool aged children in a Christian setting that is welcoming of all faiths. The teacher supports social/emotional, physical, cognitive, language and spiritual development throughout the curriculum.

This is an Exempt, salaried position. Optional matching 403(b), paid time off days, and four paid holidays.

Summer Camp and extended hours at hourly rates offered. Summer only positions also available. Teachers and college students encouraged to apply.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans and facilitates the developmentally appropriate early childhood program (Creative Curriculum) in the classroom.

Prepares an inviting, clean, and safe classroom environment to support children where they learn.

Maintains professional, open communication with staff to collaborate with colleagues and partner with families.

Completes required written documentation in a timely manner.

Performs job-related duties as needed, possibly beyond regular work schedule.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in an early childhood or related field.

Background, training and/or classes in early childhood education or teaching experience preferred.

Knowledge of early childhood development and programs preferred.

Must be willing to learn basic Christian teachings and have a willingness to implement Preschool’s stated purpose.

Must demonstrate an ability to work with young children in a loving and caring way.

Willingness to implement applicable health and safety procedures.

Must demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and reliability.

Must pass background checks and health standards as required by Fairfax County or Commonwealth of Virginia.

Must be fluent in English communication.

Must meet Continuing Education requirement of 16 paid hours annually.

Must understand and comply with the policies and procedures of the Church.

Must complete and maintain First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration Training certifications within 30 days of start date.
