Redeemer Children's Journey Preschool is Hiring a Lead Two Year Old Teacher Near Winter Park, FL

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. Your passion for early childhood education and commitment to childhood development will contribute to the growth and development of our young learners. Children's Journey Preschool is a ministry of Redeemer Lutheran Church and has been serving the Winter Park community since 1972.

Duties

- All Preschool staff must first pass a background screening prior to their start date

- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities and incorporate faith based learning into the plans

- Create a safe and stimulating learning environment

- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff

- Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers

- Monitor and assess children's progress and development

- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations

- Follow all licensing regulations and maintain a clean and organized classroom

Requirements

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education or related field

- Knowledge of child development principles and practices

- Experience working with two year old children and assisting with potty training preferred

- Familiarity with curriculum planning and implementation

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- 45 Hour course work and exams completed through the Department of Children and Families

- CDA or Associate's in Early Childhood Education required for Lead Teacher positions
