Redding Rancheria is Hiring an Admissions Specialist Near Redding, CA

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a [Admissions Specialist].

JOB SUMMARY:

Update patient information (including Alternate Resource information). Assist patients in obtaining a State or Federal program for an Alternate Resource. Complete all forms through scheduled appointments and walk-ins. Provide exceptional patient service in all interactions. No supervisory responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior data entry experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Indian preference.
  • Must be fingerprinted and pass background check.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: ·

  • Works collaboratively with all departments in the Tribal Health System.
  • Provide exceptional patient service in all interactions.
  • Enter and manage patient information in NextGen PM System
  • Verify Native American, Employee and Dependent, or Partnership Eligibility for new patients and prior to each appointment.
  • Verify insurance or alternate resources for new patients, monthly, and prior to all appointments.
  • Assists patients in completing an Alternate Resource application including Medi-Cal and Partnership.
  • Check-in patients for Health Care Services, such as but not limited to, Family Practice, Urgent Care, Labs, and Registration.
  • Gather information from the patient to complete Alternate Resource filing and/or registration.
  • Update patient file with personal information or Alternate Resource information by appointment or walk-in.
  • Update and/or confirm address, phone number, and alternate resource status, identifying eligibility status, and obtaining treatment authorization signature at each appointment.
  • Assist patients with the registration process for appointments or walk-ins.
  • Scan and retrieve registration documents.
  • Provide patients with all required medical forms including Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), Staying Healthy Assessment (SHA), and Release of information (ROI)
  • Schedule appointments by telephone or in person, following established appointment time/diagnosis guidelines.
  • Schedule all Urgent Care (same day appointments).
  • Obtain information from patients and guide them to the appropriate department.
  • Verify and send appointments reminders daily through the Patient Portal Software.

Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background screening clearance. All employees are required to submit to a Tuberculosis test (TB) test after they are hired in addition to being tested annually.

To minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Redding Rancheria will require all healthcare employees to report their vaccination status and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Any healthcare employees with medical conditions or sincerely held religious beliefs that prevent them from taking the vaccine may be entitled to an exemption.
