Summary Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• All aspects of shipping/receiving.
• Builds crates for Polyshot product.
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Routes items to departments.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operates tier lift truck or uses handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Process all outgoing orders in Peachtree. Enters items that ship so they me be invoiced properly.
• Receives incoming items into Peachtree and closes purchases orders so item qty's can be updated. Confirms items and qty's on PO.
• Company driver: Pick and delivery parts to customers, Vendors.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Assists both Pure Technology and Polyshot for additional services such as:
• Machine operation, packaging, machine setups, etc.
• Monthly Inventory.
• Assist with assembly and repair of Polyshot Products.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Other Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

• Valid Driver's License.
• Able to enter items that have been shipped into system and process invoices.
• Able to understand Excel spreadsheet and enter data accordingly.

Redbarn founders, Jeff Baikie and Howard Bloxam, met on a hockey rink in Canada when they were just kids.
