Job Summary
The Backroom Production Supervisor at RWB Thrift is a key leader responsible for training, coaching, and supervising Backroom Production Associates in various backroom operations. With extensive knowledge of each production area, the Backroom Production Supervisor ensures smooth workflow, upholds organizational standards, and manages backroom operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. This role requires a hands-on approach, including filling in gaps as needed, and exemplifying proficiency in backroom processes.

Key Responsibilities
Training and Development:
  • Conduct comprehensive training for new hires, ensuring proficiency in backroom operations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and real-time feedback to Backroom Production Associates to enhance their performance.
Supervision and Operations:
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of Backroom Production Associates, ensuring a cohesive and efficient workflow.
  • Manage backroom operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Jump in and fill in any operational gaps as needed to maintain productivity. Knowledgeable Leadership:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in each area of backroom production.
  • Provide guidance and support to Backroom Production Associates in navigating various production tasks.
Communication and Feedback:
  • Share timely and constructive feedback about Backroom Production Associates with the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to address challenges and improve backroom processes.
  • Under the guidance of the Store Manager, oversee disciplinary actions for Backroom Production Associates as necessary.
Office Administration
  • Support the Store Manager with supply ordering, bill and requisition submissions, and ad-hoc data entry as time allows.
  • Utilize HR system to recruit team members, evaluating time off requests, and assisting with payroll and timesheets in partnership with the Store Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform daily ragout duties
  • Maintain a clean and organized backroom
  • Organize and uphold assigned departments to organizational standards
  • Prioritize attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness in tasks
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the leadership team
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or related fields required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience required.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, HR System, and Outlook)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to Safely Perform Job Functions: Capable of safely and effectively performing essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity requirements.
  • Physical Strength: Must have the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40 lbs, frequently exert up to 25 lbs. of force, and constantly apply negligible force when handling objects.
  • Endurance: Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficient in performing repetitive motions such as extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction and working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
  • Fine Motor Skills: Skilled in tasks involving seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
  • Balance and Agility: Capable of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces, as well as maintaining balance when performing agile tasks.
  • Visual Acuity: Possesses clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
  • Footwear: Required to wear closed-toe shoes for safety purposes.
  • Repetitive Tasks: The job involves regular repetitive motions.

  • Flexibility: The nature of this role requires a high degree of flexibility. Employees may be asked to switch tasks or departments based on operational needs. Employees are expected to work in all areas as assigned, contributing to a well-rounded and collaborative team environment.
Scheduling Requirements
  • Production Supervisors are typically scheduled to work Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
