Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Primary Duties

• Supporting company safety policy and initiatives through their scheduling role.
• This position requires the scheduler to eliminate delays in production by developing strategies that allow technicians to be provided with a clear schedule for the work planned for each day.
• Schedule all recurring PM activities.
• Responsible for developing a complete impact summary regarding the affected processes due to the scheduling of work.
• Develop and maintain a work scheduling process. Look for ways to continually improve this process.
• Scheduling objective is to eliminate or minimize “Lost Time” activity with Mechanics and Contractors. Scheduling function is to be dedicated to improving the utilization and productivity of Maintenance and / or Contractor Personnel for future work activity.
• Responsible to assist in developing and maintaining Reliability Maintenance 7.0 program.
• Responsible to verify paperwork is not expired before scheduling job.
• Responsible to follow up on scheduled work when task is not completed as expected due to any portion of the scheduling stage, including wrong parts or any other unknown issues that occur.
• Use the CMMS to schedule work and know what needs to be scheduled.
• Coordinate and schedule all preventive maintenance work with maintenance supervisor and other department supervisors.
• Works with production in coordinating open gaps for work task to be completed.
• Meet daily with CMMS Administrator / Maintenance Planner-Scheduler Supervisor.
• Requires ability to prioritize and organize tasks and follow through to ensure completion of assignments.
• Strong communication skills and customer service skills needed in relationships with technicians, maintenance supervisors, managers, and other departments within the company. Communications skills needed in relations with outside suppliers and contractors.
• Computer proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to write memos and reports.
• Requires ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to manage multi-tasks.
• Experience in industrial scheduling preferred.
• Ability to handle critical decision-making responsibilities and deal with mental stress from occasionally extended worked hours outside of regular schedule.
• Experience using Gantt charts preferred.
• Experience developing critical paths preferred.

Secondary Duties

• Special projects as directed by CMMS Administrator / Maintenance Planner-Scheduler Supervisor.
• Develop and disperse backlog report weekly to CMMS Administrator / Maintenance Planner-Scheduler Supervisor and the production scheduler.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Typical starting time is 6:00am.
• In certain circumstances (shutdown, start-up, ) it may be required to work late hours or during the weekend.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisor responsibilities required for this potion.

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technology preferred or equivalent experience. (3 years minimum).

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, suppliers or contractors.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
