SUMMARY
We are looking for Experienced Diesel Mechanics who have experience in Generators, who would like to be added to our database of people that would like to work with us on Temporary Power Missions following Storms and Natural Disasters.
We typically work with FEMA and the US Army Corps of Engineers and would work 12 hours a day, 7 days week. These missions can be anywhere in the US or offshore territories and can last for a week or up to 12 months depending on the location and the damage done.
When on a mission we pay for Hotel and Per Diem if working more than 75 miles from home, and if you have a 1/2 Ton or 3/4 Ton truck and we accept that onto the mission we will pay a generous daily allowance. Safety gear including Steel Toe boots, gloves, hard hat, goggles and high visibility vest are also required as well as typical tools needed to maintain a Diesel Engine and Generator. You will also need to pass a security clearance as we are often working of military bases.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, two (2) years of journey-level experience in the repair and maintenance of diesel standby generators, education or technical training in a field related to diesel driven power generating plants, or related technical school or equivalent, accredited college or university may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.

3-5 years of diesel engine experience. Able to diagnose engine failures and effect the necessary repairs including fundamental Tier 4 PM and regeneration activities.
CERTIFICATIONS
Before any deployment can take place a candidate must have the following certifications in place:
OSHA 10 (Takes 10 hours online but costs $25)
ABC of Temporary Power (Free and takes 2 hours)
First Aid/CPR (Online course costs about $50)
Completed an Anti-Terrorist Course (Free and takes 2 hours)
