Augmented Reality / Technology Department 

The Technology team at Red 6 engineers systems to see and interpret the world. These systems synthesize and visualize a synthetic reality into a hive mind of real-world knowledge. We are engineering high performing and highly advanced augmented reality platforms and infrastructure, which support our military partners’ operations. This enables us to collaborate and train with the world’s most advanced military systems and develop our soldiers’ capabilities as the world’s most important line of defense.

The Role

As a Red 6 Project Manager, you will focus on deploying augmented reality systems for highly demanding customers. This position will lead all aspects of R&D projects, including but not limited to, developing project charters, defining roles and responsibilities, establishing detailed project plans, executing project kick-offs, documenting relevant project information, and overall management of the R&D projects. The Project Manager is responsible for on time completion of the project, within budget and scope, and overall client satisfaction.

Ultimately, you will spend your time ensuring the high-quality installation & integration of the world’s first airborne augmented reality systems into military aircraft. 

Responsibilities

• Manage projects with the support of cross-functional and multi-department teams to ensure sufficient resources are available to meet company needs and requirements
• Collaborate with cross functional teams in the pursuit of shipping a 0-1 product: scoping and requirements definition, identifying and managing key constraints, and mapping development plans
• Responsible for complete project management from project inception to on-time delivery to manufacturing
• Create detailed project plans including project scope, timeline, budgets, roles and responsibilities to successfully complete the project
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Basis of Estimates (BOE) during project inception
• Prepare and participate in Program Reviews, Baseline Reviews, Readiness Reviews and other project or management reviews
• Ensure project execution meets budget, schedule, and other internal requirements
• Identify potential technical, schedule and cost risks and track them using a risk registry
• Ensure scope creep/changes are carefully managed and agreed to by appropriate stakeholders
• Ability to effectively communicate project milestones, status, and risks at all levels of the organization

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in project management or in a related field
• Experience simultaneously managing different projects with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent computer proficiency in project management tools, including Excel, Microsoft Project and Jira
• Qualified candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. This requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Currently possesses or is working toward PMP or similar certification preferred
• Demonstrated experience developing or deploying applications of interactive, AR, VR or XR
• Understanding of System and Hardware engineering processes
