Description

The Creative Director will lead, mentor, and guide the creative solutions team through all production phases. They will collaborate with internal and external teams, including the executive team, partners, vendors & clients, to ensure branding & creative requirements are met and maintained to the highest standards. They will act as the brand ambassador for Red Rocket Studios and the various brands they partner with. They will be responsible for developing the vision for how the brand comes to life through design across campaigns, experiential, broadcast, and on-site live meetings & events.

The Creative Director/Creative Solutions Director is a creative thinker and capable doer. Is self-motivated and adept at managing their workload and the workloads of the greater team. Acting as both a manager and a mentor, they will be engaged in the creative process, fostering a team culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and empowerment.

The candidate must thrive working in a collaborative team environment as well as working solo and prowess to go above and beyond as needed.

Responsibilities

· Collateral design across multiple disciplines and formats

· Manage the creative process from concept to production and delivery

· Generate innovative ideas and high concept development for client projects – when given a creative brief or request, be able to clarify the request, generate ideas, sketch solutions, and develop a solid visual story

· Estimate and plan the creative portion for projects – given a client request, be able to formulate a set of activities by discipline with estimated hours

· Lead and/or assist in developing client pitch strategies and presentations

· Work with account managers, strategy, copywriters, Producers, editors, videographers, animators, and designers to produce compelling products & experiences. Not limited to… print, digital media, broadcast, live meetings & events, interactive & web

· Assist team with creative problem-solving, internal and external communication, and presentation skills

· Be hands-on; contributing world-class visual design alongside creative team members, jumping in with tight deadlines, and getting the job done

· Multitask and work on multiple projects across multiple industries at the same time while prioritizing and working with Account managers to manage client expectations

· Ensure quality of work and on-time / on budget for all creative deliverables

· Remain current on emerging design trends and technology trends in the industry & ensure the team has the necessary tools to be a successful business unit

Qualifications

· 10 years of experience leading Creative Solutions teams in an in-house agency environment

· Proven track record of working collaboratively and productively with leadership across Executive, Marketing, On-Air, On-site, and/or Customer Service teams

· Experience developing and managing budgets for Creative Solutions teams and projects, and have a proven track record of finding judicious ways to utilize resources

· Confident in both your instinctual and informed opinions (market research, current trends, and design fundamentals) to distinguish the difference between "good enough" and exceptional creative choices for the brand – and can communicate those opinions clearly to provide direction to your team

· Strong project management skills and can comfortably shift gears, make decisions, and take action when priorities and/or situations change

· Able to develop authentic relationships and hold conversations with ease – positively influencing others and communicating with a sense of humor, professionalism, respect, and kindness

· Experienced with and comfortable in a role that requires high-level, high-volume decision-making in a fast-paced environment, incorporating multiple viewpoints, evaluating risk, and utilizing good judgment

· Approach work with a "no job is too small" attitude and have a curious mind - always willing to pitch in, learn and grow your imagination

· Proficient in Adobe Creative suite, 3d software, industry tools, technologies, and techniques

· Previous experience in digital, video, rich media, motion, photography art direction, emerging media, and other creative and communications disciplines required, including audio/sound

· Ability to work with multiple brands across multiple industries while maintaining stringent brand standards

  • Candidates must submit a current portfolio or examples of work

Proficiency in the following programs:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe After Effects
  • Office 365
  • Presentation Software
  • 3d applications (c4d or similar)
  • Cloud servers and team communication/management (Teams, one drive, dropbox, smartsheet, teamwork, or similar)
  • LMS, Training development software a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
