Position Overview :

As an Expeditor / Food Runner at Red Robin, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of food from the kitchen to the guests' tables.

You will work closely with both the kitchen staff and the serving team to expedite orders accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our dining experience.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and plating of dishes.
• Communicating effectively with servers to coordinate the delivery of food to the correct tables.
• Ensuring that each dish meets quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Organizing and prioritizing orders to maintain a steady flow of food service during peak hours.
• Assisting in the preparation of garnishes and condiments to accompany dishes.
• Verifying the accuracy of orders before they are delivered to guests, including special requests and modifications.
• Promptly addressing any discrepancies or issues with orders, working with the kitchen and serving staff to resolve them.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the food expediting area, including keeping food pickup stations clean and stocked.
• Providing exceptional customer service by delivering orders promptly and courteously to guests.
• Assisting with any other duties assigned by supervisors to support the efficient operation of the restaurant.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
