Security Officer - Flexible Day Shift - Temporary Position
Our business is growing and we are looking for new officers to join our great team!
- $20 per hour
- DAY SHIFT
- Four 8-hr Shifts a Week
- Optional one or two 4-hr shifts in addition
- Flexible day and start time
- Temporary position ends 6/1/2024
Location
Commercial property in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Job Overview
RED OAK SECURITY'S Guards/Officers are the heart and soul of our company, and they are critically important to ensure its smooth operation. We value every action and interaction, along with effectively and consistently completing the tasks listed below. These tasks provide a basic guide to your daily duties and are essential for you to be successful in this role.
This is a temporary position with the possibility of moving to a different position and staying on with the company.
Tasks
- Parking enforcement (towing and/or issuing warning citations)
- Making regular foot patrols of the site.
- Scanning NFC checkpoints.
- Writing security and maintenance incident reports.
- Being proactive about moving unwanted activities from the site.
- Staying alert to hazards and staff safety.
Qualifications
- Have a CA guard card.
- Have effective written and oral communication across all levels of the organization and externally.
- Be highly dependable.
- Work independently and be self-disciplined.
- Pay close attention to detail.
- Stay calm & professional in difficult situations.
- Take initiative.
