Server Engineer – Banking (Remote)

Responsibilities:

• Patch loading on servers, to be loaded when users are offline, between a window of 6pm to 7am.
• Verify all software on server works after the updates have been applied. 
• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Working knowledge of VMWare environments, monitoring datastore disk space, understanding LUNs and SAN storage networks, etc. 
• Understanding of latest vulnerabilities and effects on systems
• Help IT Staff make sure no gaps in our network security infrastructure, from patching, to network topology, by performing self-assessments to verify controls are in place (security software, etc.)
• Certs: CCNA, MSCE. A plus

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field
• 3 Years of experience as a server engineer or analyst
• 2 Years of experience in a banking setting
