The Red Hat Business Unit is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC*. In this role, you will interview internal company financial analysts and senior financial management about how they use certain financial systems and processes and document the current state and future needs of those tools and processes to complete gap analysis for Red Hat needs. 

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Raleigh, NC.

What you will do

• Be responsible for maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog for Finance tools to ensure alignment with Finance capabilities prioritized by the CFO organization 
• Partner closely with Red Hat’s global business systems and process analysts, Finance managers, and financial analysts to gather and translate business requirements to ensure timely delivery of expected business outcomes and customer value 
• Be responsible to facilitate discussions with global representatives to strategize and define business readiness plans for the roll out of Finance systems projects, both large and small 
• Use change management techniques to create awareness about new financial tools and processes, elicit desire to use the new tools and processes, provide knowledge and ability to navigate the new tools and processes, handle any resistance from the stakeholders, and measure and achieve adoption for the new tools and processes 
• Provide support in preparing messages for distribution throughout the change process and evaluate existing business processes and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement post launch

What you will bring

• Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in business administration, finance, information technology, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related role
• 4 years of experience with: eliciting, gathering, and writing business requirements through working with analysts and managers to inform enhancement opportunities for the company’s tools; change management activities, including communication with stakeholders and organizing training sessions to ensure adoption of tools; and defining system requirements and identifying project milestones in collaboration with business analysts, IT, and other stakeholders to enhance tools used within the company
• 3 years of experience with: handling multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing based on expectations from Finance stakeholders; and negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem solving to ensure project success with global stakeholders and partners 
• 2 years of experience with: working with global teams including working across different time zones; Google Docs and Google Sheets in a collaborative manner across the organization, stakeholders and vendors; and financial systems tools
