Marketing Operations Manager

Job Description: 

The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for (a) owning the relationship between marketing and the field (sales and operations, AKA “OPS”) and (b) driving sales, repeat business, and brand awareness at the local level. 

This position will work alongside our Sales and Operations teams, including location/area managers, to drive local impact at our stores, from leading social campaigns to grassroots marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will blaze the trail for Red Door’s local marketing approach. 

Responsibilities

  • Owning the marketing team's relationship with the operations and sales teams
  • Leading all national marketing initiatives in-store execution i.e., loyalty execution in-store, monthly promotions, content collection, and guest-facing marketing rollouts. 
  • Collaborating with ops leadership to develop strategies and initiatives to positively impact our guests and team
  • Partner with local businesses for marketing collaboration, such as giveaways, paid online partnerships, cross-marketing, and local business mentions/backlinks. 
  • Supporting sales and ops team with print and digital assets to drive business opportunities 
  • Measuring marketing impact at locations and communicating findings to leadership
  • Spearheading local influencer campaigns or any local media outreach 
  • Strategize local initiatives/campaigns for underperforming locations, if applicable. 
  • Initiating local marketing campaigns specific to locations/regions to drive sales and brand awareness
  • Owning the marketing component of new store launches and being the primary POC for the growth team for all marketing items needed to launch smoothly 
  • In charge of merchandising and lobby execution to deliver on brand consistency
  • Visiting stores to ensure that guest touchpoints are meeting the Red Door standard, specifically from a marketing/sales standpoint - i.e., “team-centric culture,” pitching loyalty, receiving inbound calls, etc
  • Analyze local markets in terms of trends, opportunities, and competition 
  • Point of contact for PR and inbound media at the local level 
  • Assist in managing the local marketing budget 

What does success look like? 

  1. We are driving local awareness and organic traffic to our locations and are “felt” as a local brand 
  2. Our Sales and Ops teams know how marketing is making an impact in stores and feel supported in their roles 
  3. Our marketing team is executing national initiatives well in-store - in 2024; this means loyalty is adopted from a staff standpoint and a guest standpoint and is highly effective in driving repeat and sales

How will we measure success? 

  • YoY revenue growth in line with or exceeding our company average, specifically at the stores where we are focusing efforts 
  • Repeat rate in line with or exceeding our company average, specifically at the stores where we are focusing efforts 
  • Organic and direct traffic growth from grassroots sales and marketing efforts 
  • Success of new store launches from an execution standpoint 
  • Success of marketing initiatives in-stores - i.e. loyalty execution: guests opting in and participating 

Marketing Operations Manager requirements and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Marketing Operations Manager or similar role
  • Experience with reporting and analytics
  • Experienced with social media campaigns 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Very proactive and highly collaborative 
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highly developed attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Sales experience preferred
