POSITION PURPOSE - Responsible for servicing all types of insurance claims. Participates in the research and processing of all insurance billings. Assists in processing loans and provides loan documentation quality control by reviewing loans after they are disbursed. Verifies accuracy and completeness of loan documents and computer records. Ensures Red Canoe Credit Union’s security interest is adequately protected. Follows up on work necessary to complete loan files. Accepts direction from Insurance & Title Manager. As a support employee this position would be as needed to fill in and help the Title Department with the primary responsibility being on the Insurance side.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• DATA ENTRY AND POSTING-Posts insurance claim checks, GAP, CPI premiums, TruStage unemployment, disability, and life payments to member accounts as needed. Also, posts HMI, CPI, and charges for SNC along with refunds as needed. Enter appropriate data when needed. Follow up on secured loans to ensure we are getting titles, and our liens are perfected.
• BILLING - Process monthly billings for TruStage and weekly billings for State National. Verify account numbers, adjust for premium costs, and record adjustments.
• MEMBER SERVICES - Help members over the telephone with problems, questions, and filing claims. Verify with insurance agent or SNC if needed. Help not only members with issues but employees also when needed. Needs to FULLY understand where to find information and how to update information in the REGS for each state.
• PROCESSING - Help to process all 15% of consumer loans daily. Checking for the correct PSP option, GAP, collateral description, and joint borrower. Examine daily loans for errors and missing documents correspond with appropriate personnel with documentation to facilitate corrections. Verify CUDL paperwork is uploaded into Onbase and verify we are perfected on security.
• REVIEW LOAN FILES - Review incomplete files every 30 days and complete files every 2 months or as needed depending on the situation. Communicate with member, dealer, or financial institution on status of title work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred one year of insurance experience.
• Keyboard proficiency. 
• Ability to hear by telephone and in person.
• Ability to read English by sight; and both speak and write English.
