A day in the life: 

As a Cloud Integration Software Engineer, you will work with a great team to stabilize and improve Corporate Management Services (CMS) systems. To do so, you will move existing systems into CMS' DevOps software lifecycle management processes, therefore pushing builds through CMS' Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline and converting existing systems to use CMS' DevStack of technologies.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Engage in the design, development, and testing of software changes required for converting mission essential enterprise applications into cloud environments;
  • Develop, test, and coordinate a deployment plan to implement changes seamlessly into the cloud environment;
  • Leverage cloud experience to ensure a smooth integration of modified capabilities into cloud environments, optimizing performance and resource utilization. 
  • Technologies include: AWS, Java, JavaScript, Python, Docker, Terraform, Packer, Jenkins, Linux, Windows, GitLab, Ansible

What you bring to the table: 

All of our cloud engineers need the following skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
For this particular role, you will also need:
  • 12 years of solid software engineering experience. 
  • Experience managing and optimizing DevOps practices
  • In-depth understanding of DevOps principles, tools, and methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD processes for automation
  • Experience working in C2S (AWS), and using EC2, S3, ECS, Fargate and others
  • Experience with Java, Bash Scripting, Python
  • Experience with agile development mehtodologies
 These are important skills to have, but not necessarily mandatory:
  • Understanding of distributed systems 
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or similar.
