Job Description:
New Alliance Security is seeking for a skilled and experienced Low Voltage Installer Technician and apprentices to join our team in California. As a Low Voltage Installer Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems in residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of various low voltage systems, including but not limited to security systems, audio/video systems, telecommunications networks, and home automation systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Install and configure low voltage systems according to project specifications and electrical codes.
2. Perform site surveys and collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to develop installation plans and project timelines.
3. Mount, terminate, and connect wiring, cables, and devices such as security cameras, access control systems, intercoms, speakers, and alarm control panels.
4. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with low voltage systems, identifying and resolving technical problems in a timely manner.
5. Conduct system testing and quality assurance checks to ensure proper functionality and adherence to industry standards.
6. Collaborate with project managers and provide regular updates on project progress, including documentation of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
7. Assist in training and providing guidance to junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
8. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to low voltage systems.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in low voltage systems are a plus.
2. Proven experience as a Low Voltage Installer Technician, with a strong background in installing and maintaining low voltage systems are a plus.
3. Solid understanding of wiring diagrams, and low voltage installation techniques.
4. Proficiency in using hand and power tools required for low voltage installations.
5. Familiarity with relevant industry codes, regulations, and safety standards.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
10. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
11. Not criminal records.
Salary: DOE
Level 1 : $20 hr Apprentice Worker's comp on us
Level 2 : $25 hr Intermediate Worker's comp on us
Level 3: $35 hr experienced Worker's comp on us
