Overview:
We are currently seeking a Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for both employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Perform floor care duties such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
- Ensure all areas are free from hazards and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel
- Follow established safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing is a plus
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment is beneficial
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent time management skills
