 We are searching for a detail-oriented IT supervisor to join our excellent team. The IT supervisor’s responsibilities include supervising staff while they complete repairs and installations, providing training to new recruits, scrutinizing existing processes, writing reports, developing work schedules, and delegating tasks. You should also be able to develop optimization strategies and provide excellent customer service. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day administration and triage of our SAP Business ByDesign system. To be successful as an IT supervisor, you should keep abreast of developments in your field and have the ability to quickly diagnose tech-related problems. Outstanding candidates are able to meet deadlines and keep their team focused in stressful situations. IT Supervisor 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Analyzing existing computer systems and making recommendations for upgrades and improvements. 
  • Developing and overseeing the installation of systems, which include software and hardware. 
  • Performing tests and troubleshooting, as well as quality assurance. 
  • Implementing safety procedures and data recovery plans. 
  • Maintain monthly reporting on performance of team, and projects. 
  • Recruiting, training, and evaluating staff members. 
  • Lead all ERP related IT projects and administration. 
  • Collaborating with other departments and professionals in the development of IT systems. 
  • Ensuring all installations, maintenance, and upgrades are carried out on schedule and to client specifications. 
  • Delegating tasks and tickets. 
  • Maintain reliable, independent networks for testing environments. 
  • Support and administer third-party applications. 
  • Ensure network, firewalls, security and connectivity. 
  • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses. 
  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords. 
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. 
  • Build, maintain, and work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. 
  • Specify system requirements and design solution 
  • Research and make recommendations on server system administration. 
  • Document and design various network processes; update existing processes. 
  • Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the IT Department, Operations, and Management. 
  • Responding to after hours outages, and directing the team in the best way to quickly resolve issues. 

Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred or equivalent work experience. 
  • Proven experience in IT supervisory role.
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting. 
  • Experience using Github or similar code repositories. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, and Active Directory environments. 
  • Previous experience with ERP Administration (SAP Business ByDesign preferred). 
  • Hands on experience in networking, routing, VLANs, switching. 
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure. 
  • 3 years UNIX/LINUX experience. 
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management. 
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. 
  • Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 30 pounds or more. 

Base Pay Range

  • The base pay range of this position is $100,000 to $150,000 annually. Additional compensation through the Incentive Bonus Program is available for this position.
