Our client is on a mission to modernize the $250B Metal Service Center (MSC) industry – the backbone of North America's industrial economy. Through their platform, they aim to transform the multi-trillion metal value chain and digitize metal distribution throughout North America.

Who are they looking for?

They are looking for a customer-obsessed Founding Engineer who is highly dynamic, extremely ambitious, and passionate about American dynamism. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling the platform. You will work closely with the CEO and CTO to execute the product roadmap, prioritize new features, and deliver high-quality software on time. We have a huge opportunity to seize and we are looking for someone who is hungry to roll up their sleeves and dive right in.

As our one of the first engineering hire, you will spend a significant amount of time talking to our customers, understanding their pain points, and designing solutions that solve their problems. You will also have the opportunity to shape the culture of the engineering team and the company as a whole, leading by example as a role model for future engineers. You move fast and aren’t afraid to break things to get shit done. You also aren’t afraid to spend the next week cleaning it all up. You are invigorated that you will have a direct impact on the success of the company and the satisfaction of our customers. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Comp Sci or related field
• At least 3-5 years of experience in software engineering
• Self-starter – you are comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and distilling high-level goals into achievable blocks of work
• Open-minded, thoughtful, driven, incisive, deals well with ambiguity
• An incredible work ethic
• Ability to work in our Flatiron office 3-5 days a week
