recruithook is Hiring a CFO - Family Office Near Delray Beach, FL

A family office is looking for a hands-on CFO to work alongside the team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is driven to support the Family Office's financial management and growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a focus on optimizing processes and driving efficiency. In addition to overseeing the financial operations, the CFO will also play a key role in developing and implementing long-term strategic financial goals for the family office. This position offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated team and make a significant impact on the organization's success.

Some Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with family members to assist with investments and ongoing and new projects
  • Track NAV for investments; maintain valuation schedule and partner allocations.
  • Manage finances of properties and employees outside of the U.S
  • Responsible for payroll, regulatory compliance, financial oversight and sales tax payments.
  • Review investment materials, sit in on conference calls and attend local partner meetings
  • Responsible for maintaining and assisting with the Finances, Accounting and Tax
  • Oversee and execute estate planning recommendations
  • Track Contributions, Distributions, Income and Realized Gains/Losses.
  • Review investment materials, sit in on conference calls and attend local partner meetings to better understand the investment strategies.
  • Participate in major business decisions and help grow and protect family assets.
  • Prepare and execute transfer of funds between family office entities.
  • Prepare and execute transfer of funds as required for family office operations and investments.
  • Prepare month-end close and responsible for general ledger and production of internal financial statements for all family office entities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Ability to drive projects to completion, while also functioning effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent computer skills MS Excel Skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information
