Daily Duties include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, and equipment.
Ideally experiences in manufacturing, automotive, or construction industries
Location: Manteca, CA
Schedule: 6AM-4:30PM M-Th 4 10 schedule
Pay rate: $20 DOE
Responsibilities:
1. Inspection and Troubleshooting: Perform routine inspections to identify any potential issues or signs of wear and tear. Use diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot problems and determine the root causes of equipment malfunctions.
2. Repair and Maintenance: Repair and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. May replace faulty parts, lubricate components, and perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep machinery running smoothly.
3. Scheduled Maintenance: Follow maintenance schedules and checklists to perform routine servicing on machinery and equipment. This can involve tasks such as changing fluids, replacing filters, and calibrating sensors.
4. Emergency Repairs: When equipment breaks down unexpectedly, maintenance mechanics are responsible for diagnosing the issue quickly and making necessary repairs to minimize downtime and production losses.
5. Documentation: Keep detailed records of their work, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
6. Safety and Compliance: Ensuring the safety of equipment operators and complying with relevant regulations are critical aspects of a maintenance mechanic's role.
7. Upgrades and Modifications: Might be involved in upgrading equipment or making modifications to improve efficiency, productivity, or safety. This could involve installing new components, updating software, or implementing new technologies.
8. Communication: Effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members is essential. Maintenance mechanics often collaborate with engineers, production personnel, and management to coordinate maintenance activities and address equipment-related issues.
