Recruit Secure is Hiring a Nurse-Practitioner - WOUND Care -FL Near Gainesville, FL

  1. Secure is collaborating with a for-profit Healthcare organization that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring RN Nurse Practitioner (N-P) with expertise in Wound Care for direct hire. The company provides Nurse- Practitionersto Skilled Nursing homesin Florida to work with the facilities' nursing team to improve quality care and reduce re-hospitalizations. The company is currently supporting (10) Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) in Florida. This position is part-time (2 days) to work one day in a Skilled facility in Live Oaks, FL, and one day in Lake City, FL (other areas are also available). Scheduling is flexible.

The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with experience assessing, evaluating, and documenting skin and wound conditions and an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols.

The N-P will report to the Regional Clinical Director for the company. and work closely with the Medical Director of the facility.

Some Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine check-ups and examinations to assess skin and wound conditions
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions and develop plans of care
  • Implementing orders and treatments
  • Evaluating the progress of specialized skin and wound conditions
  • Evaluate new admissions
  • Document status and care plans and monitor changes
  • Notify the House physician and family of changes
  • Provide Wound Care education to nursing staff
  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients

Requirements:

  • Current FL State RN license
  • FL Licensed Nurse Practitioner
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the care and treatment of wounds
  • In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments
  • Ability to train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for the prevention and care of wounds
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Homes is a plus but not mandatory
  • Basic Computer skills and experience with EMR software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with Nursing teams
