Assistant Manager

Job Description

The Assistant Manager assists with the overall operation of the restaurant and the food and beverage functions of banquets and concessions at The Grizzly Golf and Social Lodge. Under the guidance of the Hospitality Director, the Assistant Manager coordinates team efforts to achieve exceptional product delivery and customer service for guests.

Responsibilities
· Assists with daily management of the food and beverage department
· Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
· Directs event set-up, preparation and execution of banquets, parties, and special events
· Identifies opportunities to increase revenues and assists with coordinating special events
· Assists Hospitality Director in hiring, supervising, and scheduling of all FOH and BOH staff
· Conducts monthly inventory
· Follows the PO buying process for food and beverage ordering
· Trains front line staff on quality assurance and appropriate guest service
· Performs daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with the Department of Health regulations
· Comply with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire, and other local/state laws
· Follow correct closing procedures and appropriate cash handling practices
· Ensures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are always maintained throughout the kitchen, restaurant, banquet facility, and patio
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Hospitality Director

Qualifications
· Golf course experience preferred
· Must have 1 year of supervisory or management experience in F/B industry
· Must have a high-level proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
· Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws
· Must have food and beverage/ a la carte and banquet experience
· Must have strong business aptitude and service orientation
· Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
· Must be a team-player and have exceptional interpersonal skills

Working Conditions
· Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
· Work weekends and holidays
· Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping
· The employee will be required regularly to reach with arms and hands
· The employee occasionally will be required to lift heavy items.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
