JOB SUMMARYA clinical Liaison/Marketer serves as an advocate for the patients during their pre-admissions process for rehabilitation services and long-term care placement. They are responsible for facilitating the exchange of information between the facility and hospital and/or referral source. The overall goal of the clinical liaison/Marketer is to generate appropriate referrals and to facilitate successful admissions in a timely and customer service-oriented manner.

Additionally, the liaison is to assist in the development and creation of leads with managed care contracts, various facilities, and physicians, development of marketing action plans and competition updates. And all other assigned duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Clinical Liaison/Marketer

·Establish patient eligibility for admissions through various methods such as but not limited to reviewing patient medical records, communication with hospital staff and verifying health insurance coverage and needs.

·Communicate with patients, patient families, case managers, medical teams, etc. about rehabilitation needs, options, and expectations at the Recover-Care locations.

·Communicate with the Recover-Care location Medical Director, nursing staff, therapy team, social worker, case managers, etc. with regards to incoming patient goals, needs, and expectations.

·Develop relationships in the community on behalf of Recover-Care facilitiesSchedule speaking engagements, education opportunities, facilitate tours.

·Attending various conferences and trade shows.

·Daily rounds at assigned hospitals.

·Timely onsites of referrals.

·Convert referrals into admissions.

·Daily reporting.

·Identify market needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

·Strong interpersonal skills. Be able to speak with all types of people.

·Must be customer service oriented.

·Must be an active listener.

·Must have computer skills and knowledge of databases such as MS Excel, Word, etc.

·Knowledge of medical terminology and coding.

·Must have excellent organizational skills and be an effective time manager and multi-tasker.

·Must be able to work well with others.

·Must be neat and well groomed.

Education/Requirements

·Valid driver's license with working vehicle.

·Current auto insurance.

·Experience in LTC marketing.

·Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, or other healthcare experience.
