Reco NC is Hiring a Quality Systems Specialist- 2nd Shift Near Kinston, NC

Summary:

Acts as a representative of the Reco NC Quality Management System (QMS) to external certifiers, customers, and suppliers and all internal Reco employees.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Customer satisfaction

o Measures and reports on customer satisfaction and specific areas of concern

o Responds to customer concerns, working with the management team as needed to ensure internal consensus in external communications

· ISO9001 and/or other required QMS certifications

o Assists in maintaining QMS certifications by ensuring that the QMS meets the prescriptions of the applicable standards and responding to audit findings

o Assists in representing the company during external audits

· Internal audits

o Participates on a team of internal auditors selected from across the company

o Schedules internal audits

o Compiles reports and documents resulting corrective actions from audit findings

· Returned material

o Participates in the RMA process

o Provides customers with failure analysis reports (with Engineering aid) and other responses

· Scrap cost, overall product yields

o Participates in MRB process and ensures timely disposition of material

o Works with Engineering and Manufacturing to identify root causes of defects and corrective actions

o Documents the effectiveness of corrective actions

· Quality metrics and useful information

o Uses data collected at multiple test and inspection points to generate and report yield and first pass yield statistics/metrics by work order, department, and overall on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

o Performs detailed analyses to identify systematic problems with products, processes, personnel, or equipment

o Reports trends in metrics and acts to resolve negative trends

· Supplier quality

o Works with Engineering to ensure suppliers have sufficient information to provide the proper materials, including customer flow-downs

o Works with Purchasing and Materials to eliminate defective materials from the manufacturing process, and provide feedback to suppliers

· Product quality

o Works with production to ensure products are being built to the required quality standards.

o Works with production to identify possible future deviations to the quality standards.

o Works with production to periodically inspect products for quality compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Associate’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent combination of college-level education and experience. Mathematics education including basic statistics and trigonometry preferred.

Proficient at using Microsoft Office tools Excel, Word, and Outlook.

At least one year experience in a quality engineering in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Documented training in using a QMS to meet ISO9001 or AS9100 requirements preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Physical Ability to work in a manufacturing setting; to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time.

· Physical Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements.

· Physical Ability to operate precision measurement equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination.

Working Environment:

· This position is located in a normal manufacturing setting with appropriate lighting for most of the day but will be required to work partially in the shop floor where noise may be meddling at times. The shop floor is equipped with large and noisy machines. The lighting is adequate in the plant. Individuals are required to wear safety glasses and closed toe shoes and other protective personal equipment (PPE) as required.
