SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the maintenance, and/or repair, of a variety of physical plant and specialized equipment in an assigned group of Rebel Convenience Store properties. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the building, HVAC/R, in-store food service and beverage equipment as well as Fueling systems. This is a skilled trade mechanic position.

Schedule: Core days are Monday-Friday; 8am to 5pm. However, employees must be available for varying start times, overtime, weekends, and possible holidays as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide equipment maintenance support for all equipment and processes including preventive maintenance and on-demand/emergency basis.
• Provide multi-disciplined capability in troubleshooting, diagnose and repair malfunctions on a wide variety of complex equipment
• Maintain safety as top priority in all aspects of your work, for team members and products.
• Respond to service requests related to plumbing, electrical, lighting and general maintenance issues.
• Respond to service requests for a wide variety of in-store equipment which include:
• Hot beverage equipment basic function (ex. Coffee, Cappuccino)
• Cold beverage equipment (ex. tea, Fountain, FBD, FCB, Creamers, Ice makers etc.)
• Hot food equipment (ex. fryers, griddles tortilla presses, ovens, Warmers, etc.)
• Fuel Dispensers (ex. printers, displays card readers, hanging hardware etc.)
• Work order management – prioritizing and routing
• Operational relationship building
• Follow proper uniform guidelines
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks for equipment and facility in accordance with manufacturer's and/or engineering guidelines.
• Recommend methods or training to continuously improve maintenance performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completes and maintains required state specific competency training and testing necessary to obtain and maintain Class “B” UST System Operator Certification
• Experience performing maintenance related tasks
• Experience with pumps and dispensers preferred
• Experience in a skill trade area preferred (i.e., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
• Experience with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
• Ability to conduct and complete Company business in a professional and ethical manner
• Ability to lift equipment and access covers weighing in excess of 80 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders to roofs, ceilings, and signs
• Ability to crawl in access areas and under counters and dispensers
• Ability to assemble and disassemble large and small mechanical, plumbing, and electrical parts, assemblies, and components
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and special equipment to complete work assignments
• Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Fuel Station Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
• Facilities Maintenance: 3 years (Required)
