Job Description:

RealTracs is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Database Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing our database systems to ensure seamless operation and data integrity. You will be responsible for managing the organization's databases, implementing security measures, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain RealTracs's database systems, including installation, configuration, and ongoing optimization.

Implement and enforce security measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of data.

Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop database solutions that meet organizational needs.

Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.

Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices, and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.

Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.

Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

Strong knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
