ABOUT THE TEAM

Data Analysts within the Smart Buildings (Smart Access & and Smart Devices) serves as a key member of the Product Support team - developing reporting and metrics for global, portfolio, and property analysis. The Data Analysts works with cross functional teams to understand the current and future product lines to drive effective analytics to support the business. Tier 2 support team consists of a manager, Team Lead, Critical Escalations point person, and (5) specialists across a 1600 plus property portfolio. Customer satisfaction including property staff and residents is crucial to continuing utilization and renewal of the SaaS services. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Data Analysts will serve as a member of the Smart Buildings Product support team - working with RealPage properties who currently utilize Smart Access &/or Smart Devices (IoT) within their property. Smart Buildings includes property solutions for Smart Access, Smart Devices (IoT), and Smart Wi Fi. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design business analysis and data gathering across multiple systems for use throughout the department and cross-functionally. 
• Construct and deliver on time reporting packages as defined by clients and department leadership, both scheduled and ad hoc. 

• Help drive critical business decisions from data and report analytics. 
• Communicate results to business unit leaders on a scheduled basis and make recommendations based on findings. 
• Monitor databases and collaborate with database owners for updates as necessary to ensure accuracy. 
• Regularly conduct quality assessment of data input and output sources to locate and resolve mistakes throughout. 
• Create weekly/monthly/quarterly business unit summary reports that provide insight into key data points. 

• Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers 
• Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 leaders in reaching their goals through analysis 
• Monitor data to identify changes in product operational trends and reliability. 
• Other related ad hoc duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• One to three years of experience as a business analyst 
• Primary experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Excel, and preferably, additional experience with Zendesk and Azure. Familiarity with other similar data capture and analysis software. 
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts. 
• Analytical skills that allow for the proactive development of data-driven reports.

• Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers. 
• Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions. 

• Detail oriented to identify trends to identify root causes of process and product failures. Conversely, identify trends to identify successful operational workflows and processes. 
• General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, processes, and information flow
