Summary Of Role

This role is critical in providing assurance that data is effectively governed, protected, applied and of high quality to drive business value. This person will work closely with senior technology and business executives. Where you will put together and implement a plan to transform the data quality and data maturity for the enterprise. As the director you will lead the definition, socialization, consensus, and execution of this transformation plan. Collaborating and getting consensus with various partners in Data and Analytics, Architecture, Product, Technology, Brands, and Corporate Functions, you will drive this transformation. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain Single source of truth certification, data quality frameworks, data quality subject matter expertise as well as strong written and verbal communication skills are critical for this role.
 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and establishing Single Source of Truth certification requirements. Developing a comprehensive plan, and gaining consensus across different functions and leadership levels within the enterprise. You will evaluate data quality and maturity. Devise a plan to ensure continual assurance of data and data products' quality. Your tasks will include completing the Single Source of Truth plan and data maturity improvement plan. Additionally, you'll partner closely with leaders in data, analytics, architecture, engineering, product, corporate functions and business functions to ensure impactful outcomes for data quality and maturity.
The role will involve providing specialized expertise to assist Data Stewards, Engineers, business data analysts, and others in focusing on data quality and establishing a single source of truth. You'll manage multiple streams of work in data governance and data quality, establish and manage partnerships and senior leadership relationships across the organization, and use data governance tools to assess data quality, integrity, and completeness. Influencing collaborators across the enterprise to embrace changes to the plan, monitoring and recommending data quality and data maturity compliance, policies, and standards, and providing leadership, guidance, and support to teams on data maturity, governance, and quality standard methodologies are also key aspects of the role.
Furthermore, you'll be responsible for reporting progress and presenting effectively to senior leadership, as well as staying updated on industry trends and advancements in data quality, data maturity, and data governance.
 

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field (MBA degree preferred)

  • 15 years of proven experience preferably working across multiple technology subject areas with experience in Data, Software Engineering & Development, Design, and some experience as a solution/data architect with hands-on technical expertise

  • 4 proven experience in data quality or data maturity

  • Consistent track record of successfully driving the development and delivery of data quality initiatives

  • Deep expertise in metadata management, data architecture, data quality, and data governance

  • Knowledge of AWS, Snowflake, Informatica, etc.

  • Leadership and influence skills to convince Sr. Leadership on plans and gaining their trust, drive execution of the plans, and deliver solid results

  • Excellence communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a global, cross-functional team
