Job Summary
The Kitchen Supervisor will prepare and/or cook breakfast, lunch and snacks for the children in the program. The kitchen supervisor will also be in charge of preparing a grocery order, following the approved menus, complete all reporting paperwork for the CACFP program, and close down the kitchen at the end of the day.
Realife STEAM Academy is a childcare ministry for children ages 6 weeks through Pre-k. We use a faith-based curriculum to encourage learning in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts and math. We also offer before and after school care for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
We believe that each child should be provided with a safe and nurturing environment that promotes their natural curiosity and excitement for learning. We also believe that each child learns at their own pace and when provided with a variety of developmentally appropriate opportunities to play, discover, experiment, investigate, and explore that they become lifelong learners. Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or cook all meals and snacks
- Deliver and pick-up all dishes from each classroom
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace in the kitchen
- Complete all reporting paperwork for the CACFP program
- Complete the kitchen check-list each day at closing
- Complete inventory weekly
- Place food orders
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements, including, but not limited to Indiana State requirements, Paths to QUALITY, and CACFP.
- Other duties as assigned to advance the mission of STEAM Academy.
Education, Experience & Requirements
- High School diploma required
- Kitchen experience preferred
- Familiarity with the CACFP Program preferred
- Must be dependable
