LEASING AGENT

The Leasing Agent is responsible for direct interaction with prospective and current customer tenants.

This position is often the face of Real Property Management of the Rockies to its residents. The role

touches the leasing process from introduction through occupancy, and is responsible for maintaining trust

and communication from on-boarding of the resident through the duration of their tenancy. The Leasing

Agent is a member of a team built to manage a portfolio of properties within RPM of the Rockies, and will

work closely with a Property Manager and Maintenance Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Handling inquiries from prospective tenants
• Recording and maintaining prospective tenant information in the agency database
• Partnering with the Property Manager to prepare advertisements for available rental properties
• Maintaining an accurate, up-to-date record of available rental properties
• Performing showings of available rental properties to prospective tenants
• Preparing incoming property condition reports on vacant units
• Responsible to submit weekly feedback from prospective renters for vacant properties
• Documenting and completing lease agreements (Under the supervision of the licensed party in the team)
• Facilitating all aspects of the leasing process from inquiries, to applications, and final occupancy of residents
• Maintaining resident experience throughout occupancy
• Attending and participating in office meetings
• Attending and participating in training sessions as directed by the General Manager
• Adhering to all procedures required in this role
• Providing feedback for and participating in continuous improvement of procedures and processes
• Other duties as assigned

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
• Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results

The Leasing Agent is highly organized with strong time management skills and an understanding of

prioritization. Naturally driven to provide excellent customer service and to instill trust, the Leasing Agent

is a natural communicator with good negotiation skills, the ability to work independently, and a

professional demeanor.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Some experience in sales / marketing or a service-related industry
• Computer proficiency Microsoft Office
• Local area knowledge
• Managing referrals across departments
• Competency in, or the ability to become competent in, the following :
• Landlord / Tenant Act
• Anti-Discrimination Act
• Building Maintenance
• An active Colorado Real Estate License is helpful, but not required

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS :

• Established customer service standards maintained
• Vacancies are minimized and maintained within acceptable time lines

METRICS :

• Monthly Reports
• Customer Service Surveys

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :

• $38,000 to $43,000 per year, DOE
• 401K
