Real Projectives is Hiring a Project Manager Near Laurel, MD

Real Projectives® seeks highly motivated Project Managers to take ownership of a variety of projects and collaborate with other team members to ensure successful delivery of owner's representation and construction management services.
Experience You Will Gain
The Project Manager (PM) oversees, plans and manages the life cycle of multiple projects within a variety of real estate types including multifamily, hospitality, office, retail, industrial, manufactured housing, cannabis cultivation, and more. This position delivers service that is aligned with the Real Projectives core values and standard practices, including promoting lasting client relationships.
Project management tasks including among others:
  • Advise and represent real estate owners and investors as a trusted advocate.
  • Evaluate client goals to establish priorities and plan appropriate project strategies.
  • Organize internal staff and integrate external resources to effectively accomplish work while maintaining quality standards.
  • Facilitate effective communications among internal and external project teams and stakeholders.
  • Work with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, property managers, lenders, and many others.
  • Forecast costs, negotiate commitments, and control expenses for on-budget results.
  • Expedite schedules to coordinate critical tasks for timely completion.
  • Assess and manage risks to minimize intolerable surprises.
  • Sourcing and negotiating contracts for architectural and engineering services, construction services and materials.
  • Transitioning projects from construction through occupancy.
  • Travel to sites and observe work progress to maintain timely project knowledge.
Develop Relationships
  • Strengthen relationships with current clients and promote the company reputation by upholding the Real Projectives core values.
  • Actively network through industry events, and seek to develop business and partnerships to promote our brand and help us grow.
  • Participate in relevant professional/industry organizations.
  • Leverage past and current professional relationships to enhance business development efforts.
Qualifications We Desire
Real Projectives seeks Project Managers who are eager to contribute, are self-driven, and contribute these characteristics to our team:
  • Minimum five (5) years work experience as a lead construction manager or real estate project manager on projects exceeding $20 million. Preferred experience serving as an owner's representative.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without our sponsorship is required.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English language is required.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft 365 - Outlook, Word, Excel, & Project and other web-based tools and systems.
  • Possess or committed to obtaining a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials.
Hybrid Work Location and Travel
  • The Project Manager will be based out of our Laurel, Maryland office with a mix of in-office, home/remote work, and business travel throughout the United States. Travel is anticipated to range from 10% to 50% depending upon the position and project needs.

Physical Requirements
  • This position frequently works in an office environment and sits at a desk for extended periods of time and requires dexterity to operate general office equipment.
  • The person in this position will frequently communicate with peers, managers, subordinates, and clients, and must be able to exchange accurate and timely information in these situations.
  • This position may require frequent walking, bending, kneeling, standing, climbing and reaching, and will require sitting for extended periods of time.
  • This position will occasionally traverse construction sites where the terrain may be uneven.
  • The person in this position may occasionally travel via personal vehicle regionally and via commercial transportation nationally.
  • The person in this position may need to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment
The work environment is both in an indoors office and outdoors on jobsites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Visits to client offices, travel to project locations, and walking on sites under construction in all types of weather conditions are necessary.
