Job description
BICSI Installer 2 Technician - Dallas TX
Pay: $25 -$36/hr. (Based On Experience
Shift: Mon- Fri 7 AM - 3 PM
BICSI Installer 2, Copper® (INSTC®) is a professional Information and Communications Technology (ICT) certification. It validates knowledge and skills to install copper cables within the confines of a commercial building structure in accordance with best practices and standards. Skillsets include but are not limited to building telecommunication spaces, pulling cable, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting copper and coaxial cable.

The Role:
The BICSI Technician will be a capable communicator with the ability to accurately complete job site documentation, represent the company to the end user, general contractor, the authority that has jurisdiction, etc.
Identify cable paths, perform site surveys, and assist with bids. Lead one or more teams of installers and technicians and will provide job site supervision and oversight, ensuring quality artisanship
The BICSI technician must have good knowledge of various types of copper and fiber cables. Technicians address cable termination and testing as a day-to-day process. The professional will perform a site survey while keeping track of blueprints, cut sheets, and other relevant documentation. They generate both test and as-built reports.
Requirements:
  • BICSI Level 2 copper/fiber Certification (Required)
  • The BICSI technician must have good knowledge of various types of Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
  • Address cable termination and testing as a day-to-day process
  • perform a site survey while keeping track of blueprints, cut sheets, and other relevant documentation.
  • The technician must be able to use hand tools including test equipment, punch tools, saws, and hammer drills.
  • perform various tasks such as pulling, testing, and terminating fiber and copper cable.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Possess a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver's license
  • Manufacturer certifications
