REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.

Responsibilities

If you have worked in an industrial or secondary metal processing facility and have shipping supervisory experience we are interested in talking with you.

The shipping supervisor is tasked with directly supervising 4-6 employees and works with packaging and shipping of aluminum solids to customer specifications in a manner to ensure quality product in a safe work environment.

Schedule is Monday - Friday 7a-3p with overtime required. 

Core Accountabilities

• Direct the loading function of all solid aluminum alloy, ensuring that each product is correctly identified and properly weighed.
• Ensure that each shipment is in accordance with the State’s laws such as bill of lading, customs required paperwork, etc.
• Ensure that each shipment is in accordance with the Department of Transportation (D.O.T.).
• Properly record and process all shipping information on the necessary reports.
• Maintain all customer specifications on finished goods (ingot & sow) such as color codes, special stamping, covers, banding, etc.
• Schedules and directs employees in assignment and completion of production work.
• Meet all payroll timekeeping responsibilities on time and accurately, as required by HR Payroll.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
• Previous work experience in secondary aluminum industry helpful.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook.
• Knowledge of aluminum alloy preferred.
• Able to work overtime and/or weekends as necessary.
• Highly motivated, goal oriented, ethical, and challenge driven.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with mobile equipment such as a forklift preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Will spend the majority of the day on the production floor.
