Position Summary
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Position Specifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Reading and comprehension skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; ability to read and interpret process sheets and other production documents
- Ability to adjust to changes in equipment/tools and modifications to existing equipment for the purposes of continuous improvement
- Ability to operate powered production equipment
- Ability to operate the scale computer
- Ability to follow safe work practices in a manufacturing environment
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Physical Demands:
- Frequently uses hoist to push/pull reels weighing up to 3,200lbs
- Frequent standing, walking and bending
- Frequent use of arms below shoulder height; minimal use of arms above shoulder height
- Frequent reading and interpreting test data and visually inspecting wire
- Frequent lifting up to 25lbs
- Work Environment: Work performed in a plant manufacturing environment. Slippery floors due to steel plates. Incumbent will occasionally be exposed to Cold Temperatures <65 degrees and Heat >80 degrees. The environment is well lit; the noise level is often minimal but incumbent may be exposed to higher than 85 decibels
