Where will you work?

We're looking for our next Software Engineer to be based in Napier or work remotely. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the Engineering Team; designing, developing, modifying, managing bugs, documenting and deploying complex software to the highest level of quality.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Write and maintain code to system requirements and technical specifications meeting quality standards
• Provide support with diagnosing and correcting complex production issues
• Direct system testing and validation procedures 
• Identify technology limitations in current application and code
• Continuous learning through staying up to date with industry trends, and taking part in regular team training courses

You will have: 

• Experience working with a Cloud service provider (we use Azure) and experience with a modern programming language (e.g. C#, Java, JavaScript, Vue.js)
• Design skills to build great web applications with HTML, CSS and modern Javascript frameworks
• An ability to write readable code that runs quickly and robustly - and initiative to debug, fix and improve existing code
• A flair for developing excellent user interface and experience
• A desire to work in a busy, fast-paced, dynamic environment with a great team
• Bonus points for experience with technologies such as Azure Functions, Docker, Redis, Cosmos DB
• If you don’t have all of the above, willingness to learn is more important
