Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and productivity. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of goods
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demands
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment
- Train and develop operations team on proper procedures and best practices
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and optimize operations
- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and transportation, to ensure smooth workflow
- Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Resolve any operational issues or customer complaints in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics management
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is preferred
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
