Re:Build Optimation Technology, LLC is an engineering, design and fabrication firm in Rochester, New York. We work with customers across many industries to develop and deliver custom industrial skids and custom industrial machines to meet unique requirements. Who we are looking for
Re:Build Optimation is searching for individuals with expertise in Automation Engineering and PLC programming to integrate into our dynamic team. We specialize in designing, constructing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing systems, catering to diverse clients and projects. Our team, comprising a blend of talented engineers and skilled tradespeople, collaborates closely to bring designs to fruition.
What you get to do
  • Design, develop, install, and manage automation projects.
  • Stay organized by creating schedules and budgets.
  • Architect, write, and debug PLC code with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable.
  • Generate HMI screens that allow complex automation projects to easily understand, operate, and troubleshoot.
  • Ability to comprehend P&IDs.
  • Design electrical systems compliant with NEC, NFPA, & UL508A regulations.
  • Availability for travel, including overnight stays may be required, estimated at approximately 20%
What you bring to the Team
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 1 plus years' experience in an electrical engineering role in industrial controls, including PLC programming.
  • Experience programming PLC & HMI (Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Automation Direct, etc.).
  • Experience in either process or discrete manufacturing industries is acceptable.

  • Strong written and verbal communications, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work and support a team environment.
  • Skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to operate a computer and use spreadsheet, database, word processing.
  • Experience with electrical schematics (SolidWorks Electrical preferred). Familiarity with motion systems, PLC programming, robots, etc. beneficial.
