Our company is developing products and services for the electric vehicle space. Founded in early 2022, Project Re:Car spent its formative months establishing a leadership team and the product definition.
Who we are looking for:
Re:Car is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Body Structures Design/Release Engineer to join our growing team. The DRE will be responsible for design and development of the body structures and related mechanisms across the organization.

•Responsible for the design and development of body system components and complete assemblies.
•Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
•Manage all aspects of body component development to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc.
•Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements.
What you bring to the team:
•Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
•8 years of vehicle design experience in the areas of Body, Door, Platform.
•Excellent communication and team building skills.
•Ability to lead design teams through integration of related sub-systems into body structure.
•Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to body structure.
•Ability and Desire work in a fun and fast paced environment

What you bring to the team:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
• 8 years of vehicle design experience in the areas of body structures and mechanisms.
• Knowledge of design considerations required; injection molding, die castings, stampings.
• Proven communication and team building skills.
• Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to body closures.
• Ability and Desire work in a fun and fast paced environment
• Hybrid
