RD NUTRITION CONSULTANTS is Hiring a Remote Registered Dietitian-Pediatric (Hybrid-40% Remote)
RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Pediatric Registered Dietitian for 40 hours per week in the DC area!
Schedule: Must be completed Monday-Friday between normal business hours (40% of hours can be completed remotely)
Compensation: $40.00-$45.00/hour DOE
Travel Compensation $40.00-$45.00/hr
Position is short term- 13 week assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Clinical Nutrition team to assist in planning, implementation and evaluation of a nutrition plan of care utilizing available evidence, best practice, sound judgment and problem-solving
- Acts as a clinical resource to staff and other members of the health care team
- Serves as clinical expert for Clinical Nutrition team in complex patient cases, varied care settings and new program growth
- Leads performance and quality improvement projects within Clinical Nutrition department to ensure current clinical practice as well as integrated patient outcome projects
- Collects, analyzes and documents Clinical QC activities, identifying opportunities for improvement within the team
- Develops and maintains department core competencies program with goals to continuously monitor and develop specific Clinical Nutrition skills
- Creates validation criteria for staff to meet and develops competencies identified to ensure high quality of Clinical Nutrition practice
- Implements plan for direct observation of staff to validate ongoing skills
- Coordinates Annual Critical Competencies and ensures documentation is provided to departmental education coordinator
- Oversees orientation process to ensure consistency and provides appropriate feedback/evaluation of progress
- Collaborates with other nutrition areas to ensure consistency within our program campus wide
- Coordinates and tracks student/resident/intern/trainee education and clinical supervision programs, to include practicums, observations, and volunteer experiences
- Coordinates and implements key strategies to help move team to advanced practice skills and behaviors
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
- Registered Dietitian (RD) with the American Dietetic Association
- One of the following:
- Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (EDUHRUSE)
- Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP) offered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
